Selenite is a specific variety of the mineral gypsum named after the Ancient Greek goddess of the moon, Selene. It is commonly used as a way to cleanse the body, mind and spirit of negativity and self-limitation. Selenite produces negative ions. The same that are generated by old growth forests and ocean waves. Wonderful for any space. Can also be used to "clean" other gemstones and gem jewelry by placing on selenite in the sun.
