This complex and delightful honey was collected by bees working on a vernal pool restoration and research project. They are pollinating flowers, sown to rebuild a landscape in Southern Oregon that has been severely diminished since the 19th century. Through this project, they are also monitoring which species of native flowers do an exceptional job feeding honey bees as well as bumblebees, and native solitary bees. The research has helped to drive this project’s success in creating a bee habitat oasis.
